Britney showed up late, cocktail in hand, when rehearsing her totally awesome, er, disastrous MTV show.




You'd be surprised how easy it is to show up to work three-and-a-half hours late with a frozen margarita in hand and get away with it. We do it all the time. Er, um, just kidding Bill Gates! But that's the behind-the-mess story that the New York Post has dug up in an attempt to explain Britney Spears's already infamous Vegas performance. The paper says the pop star was supposed to show up for rehearsal at 1 pm on Sunday, August 9, but instead rolled in at 4:30. By then, the dancers had already perfected the run-through with a stand-in, who, frankly, should probably just take over for Britney permanently.

While a source says the run-through looked "amazing," Britney reportedly nixed all dance moves beyond shaking her ta-tas. "The dancers were supposed to lift and twirl her in the air a few times, and that just wasn't going to happen," the source continued. "The more complicated dance moves had to be erased because she couldn't do them."

Someone from Britney's entourage, let's call him Bit-Bit, gave a couple of new excuses to E! News, saying the pop star had a perfectly valid reason not to sing live. "She would have had to wear one of those headset things and they are so not cute," the friend said. Barf! Plus, that dead look in her eyes wasn't due to what we'll euphemistically call The Anna Nicole Smith Party Pack. It was the look of eyedrops. "She really doesn't like it when her eyes look glassy." Double barf!

We agree with our new imaginary best friend Whoopi Goldberg here. Britney seems like she just doesn't want to do this anymore. That's cool, but too bad, because maybe it's just the frozen margaritas talking, but we have an irrational love for her and want her to kick ass and take names and ride a tiger onstage. Is that so much to ask?

I agree 100%! I don't care if she's had 11,000 children. She's in Hollywood and nothing less than perfect will do. Most people in Hollywood are not required to have any "real" talent, they're just required to be really, really ridiculously good-looking. If she's going to half arse her performances, show her muffin top, booze away, and make a total fool of herself on television, then she can go on Jerry Springer and leave her place in the entertainment business to the next pop tart who can lip synch and look good.

Before she had her looks to make up for the lack of talen. Her lipsinging just wont do it this time. Who do you think lipsings better, Britney or Ashley? :)

Yeah I know she has personal trainers and chefs.  The thing is I don't think her body looked bad.  She has a bit of a tummy but when your stomach hold two babies back to back it's hard to get rid of.  Some ladies no matter how hard they work need surgery to get rid of it....at least she is still sans surgery.

I feel sorry for her in a way. I think when everything fell apart in her marriage shortly after having her 2nd child she just went off the deep end.  I think she became depressed and just didn't know how to deal so she began self destructing.  Due to all the fame at such a yonge age I don't think she ever made good friends that actually care about her that may have been able to help.  I don't think she will pull herself together anytime soon.  I think she is in denial and needs help fast.  I doesn't help that the world watches her every move.  She does look out of it half the time.  Re: her body...it ain't what it used to be but it's not bad for 2 kids.

I went to bed before her "performance" and I just saw a quick snap shot of it this morning.
OMG...I can't wait to see the entire thing and the facs of the audience.
You could tell she was terrified or something and for sure lost, completly lost.

Thank God she prepared and worked very hard for this !!!!
