It makes me sick to my stomach when I go down there, and see 15 year old girls hanging on to 80 year old white men for a peso.. its sickening that they were left with these options as a source of income. Necesities can hardly be met on their wages, and they have no choice but to either: beg, prostitute themselves, steal (which I dont see much of, I assume its out of fear for the government) but you get the drift.

I have tons of friends in cuba, and it kills me when we're on the phone, and they ask me, what are you doing ? If I tell them im in the car, or cooking dinner, they are always like "oooh you can drive and talk on the phone?" "Ooooh your cooking cow beef tonight"
They aren't allowed to even eat cow beef. WTF.. how strange is that? I cannot understand the Cuban government. Why wouldn't fidel et al, want to see a prosperous Cuba, instead of a run down, crappy one?

I have friends who look just like me and you out there, they are as stylish as we are, look "modern" but unfortunately are stuck in a world back in 1950. I always think about how they deserve the same things that I have, and do , but the reality is that if they don't find someone out there to marry them, and get them out, they'll probably be living like that for the rest of their lives.

the world is F U C K E D up ...especially en la isla de cuba.

I rarely find a Cuban in Cuba that talks the way you say your friends do.

Because they know what would happen to them wink.

Strange I have been going to Cuba since I was 5 years old.  I have friends there as well and make new ones each time.  I rarely find a Cuban in Cuba that talks the way you say your friends do.

Have you ever been to Guaimaro??? If you haven't, then Im sure you don't understand why they talk this way........ hmm

I used to believe in this idealistic rhetoric. Then life and time slowly turned me into a cynic and now I'm totally jaded.

BTW, Che was a hottie, wasn't he?

Nadie dice que Batista era bueno, por eso todo el pueblo, incluso las clases acaudaladas apoyaron a Fidel Castro. Pero el prometio restablecer la contitucionalidad hacer valer la constitución de 1947. Hacer elecciones  DEMOCRATICAS , LIBRES Y MULTIPARTIDISTAS  A LOS 18 MESES. RESPETAR LA LIBERTAD DE EXPRESION Y DIJO EN MILES DE OCACIONES QUE NO ERA COMUNISTA.

LAS ELECCIONES TODAVIA ESTAN ESPERANDO Y TODO EL QUE SE LAS RECLAMO LO METIO PRESO O LO OBLIGO A IRSE.

I'm 1958 the MOB was running Cuba, not Bastista, the poor people got pissed off about the living conditions then and turn on Bastista, and now have a strong leader..

BTW- i can go on all day about this but i rather not

Last year I went to cuba, I went to Cayo Largo but I decided to spent couple days in La Habana and I flew from Cayo Largo to La Havana. My first shock was when I went inside of a Local Plane, the toilet was worst that the toilets in any TTC Station.

When arrived to Habana I hooked up with some locals and they rented me one of their rooms in their house (right across from the Hotel Parisien Hotel Nacional). I asked to one of the guys (Jobless) to take me to the places where the tourist don't go. I took around 1600 frames and the Pictures some of them are very sad, some of the living conditions are not the greatest, most of the "apartment" building where lot of people live are falling apart they are not in safe living conditions.

I took the local bus called "camello" ( I think) which is tractor trailer with a huge box in the back acting as a Bus....it looks, smells and it feels like Animal transportation.

All I have to say it is not the same when you go there as a tourist and visit the touristic areas but what happens behind could be shocking.

Una imagen habla por mil palabras

Disculpen pero hay mucha desinformacion

Por aqui no pasa Pastor Valle Garay cuando va Cuba, y si lo hace parece que cierra los ojos.
