well duro has a point... i tried some of these latin restaurants and to tell u the truth they r..ya and i aint that picky...so for me to say that then...yup there ya go my mom aunts sisters in law dad uncle brother etc..can make better ecuadorian food then whats served in alot of these restaurants....ceviche hornado friatda u name it...
so ya aveces ill just rather prefer eating some greek food in astoria then latin restaurants...where i can get the same elsewhere..

@ Duro - pls. ni que fueran tus cosineras. Plus i was under the impression that u did the cooking. if so I need my X to get with ur groove, cus he's got something else coming his way, if he expects me to cook. Last time his mom went away I tried doing him some arroz con pollo, so it was good (so he said), but it burned a bit...when his mom got back the first thing she asked was who burned her pot & the ass sin mas goes she did trying to cook for me. I was I swear I almost killed him. Never again, who needs that kinda treatment, so I said next time buddy cook urself.....pls. Plus i smelled like onions, my hands stinked of the food, the chicken was raw at first. nasty experince.
That's generally how pollo starts when we cook from scratch, Prinny.
... and who else was he supposed to blame? LOL. You don't want him to lie, do you?
At least you tried... don't give up que generalmente las cosas / recetas mejoran mientras mas las tratas. En tu caso, casi imposible que empeore!
Poor X: te vas a morir de hambre, loco! I say invest in some cooking lessons and give it to her ASAP (Xmas is only 4 months away! )

I went to "EMbrujo Flamenco" on the Danforth, it's supposed to be a Spanish ( from Spain) place I guess, but I don't think the cook was cause their tapas were ok but not as good as the ones served at a Spanish place which name I forgot but was located downtown many years ago.
Sangria in "EF" was ok, but everything was kind of pricey. I think it's ok if guys wanna take a chick for dinner since it's kind of unusual and kind of looks elegant. There's a sword on the wall, but it looks more like a Scalibur, and not like a spanish one. I don't think the owners are spaniards but it certainly is a good try.
Ceviches were good for a enw restaurant that opened by Symington and Dovercourt...Doña Julia...bnut she jacked up the rpice to 12 from 8 which still isnt too bad. She has awesome Hornado though!
that one sucks man...the new one on chirstie is better

I went to Taste of Spain on Yonge Street and it was amazing but if you think pupusa loca is pricey then you won't like it
BTW where is the new pupsa loca? Wilson and what?
in between Keele and Dufferin (beside a Shell gas Stn)
Is the taste of Spain the one close to the Keg On Yonge n Sheppard? Ive driven by one restaurant there but the lights are always of when i drive by. What time did u go around?
Thats the one!! We went around 8ish. Not sure if they are open during the day or early evening but it's amazing. It's expensive though.
Danny mentioned tipico. You know I used to really like that place but the last couple of ceviches that I have gotten have been crappy. I prefer las fronteras.
