Can a Colombian confirm this? My buddy's ex, had a boob job as grad gift @ 18 or 17, I forget When I was in Colombia, every other 15 year old looked like they had a boob job! (And ALL of them seemed extremely concerned with their looks. I've also never seen so many girls with braces!) Is this common there... to get work done so young?
15 year olds with boob jobs? That's a website just asking to be made!

The plastic surgery business is HUGE down there and much more affordable.
I was reading the paper one day and reading the employment pages. Most jobs that required admin types or dental hygenist or whatever, described what they wanted (5'2", brown hair, brown eyes, must not weigh more than.......) Some even had a picture of the type of woman they were looking for. Naturally, the majority want women UNDER 25.

I mean if my girl was 15/16 & wanted some work done & I could afford it, I would do it, maybe not that soon but for sure when she turns 18. I mean I got some cuzs that got her nose fixed, another got her ears fixed, wats wrong with that.
Ok Braces i don't mind. I don't want my kid to be mistaken for a British, of whom i've no problem with. I like tea.
Oh, Doguito, ni piense en surgery, you're a lost cause.

BTW, Chale, that book should be banned. The nerve of some business people.
Yup.. but hey man... thats where society is headed... what can we do?
@ Lunaface: I ehat thee with my entire BEAN! I hope someone licks your eye and you catch a wicked infection!
I attended a quince in mexico in january when i went and the talk of the party wasnt her dress or the party but her boob job!! at 15 that was her gift! her other friend had just had her nose done and yep thats what most kids are getting!! sad so sad!
@luna i love that show its so superficial but still! and yes they all need the chancleta!!
that how Chale's parents told her she was ugly and that she needed "some work" done... Chale now endorses the book 'cause it changed her life
to answer JC's question... its CRAZY what some parents do to please their kids... the kids are running the parents and the parents usually comply because of guilt or they just don't want to have to deal with it. Has anyone watched that show Sweet 16 on MTV? Do you see how bratty these kids are? and how the parents just say OK? and move on... what kind of parenting is that?! INSANE! BLOODY INSANE!
I say it's time to introduce those little white brats to la chancleta.
Yup, I believe it... especailly with all the media bombarding kids with what 'ideal beauty' is. There are tons of tv shows catered specifically towards changing ones appearance via surgery and/or make overs. Its only natural that kids want what they see.
Heres a book that I found quite disturbing.... check it out:

Was up early and watching satellite to kill time. While browsing channels I saw a report on some news channel that it's become a growing trend for parents to give their kids implants, liposuction, nose jobs etc for doing well in school and as graduation gifts It sounds pretty dumb to me and I wouldn't do it, but would you?
