I agree. If you don't garden or even own a garden, DON'T wear them.

The dress over pants.

I actually don't mind it IF the dress is a few inches above the knee and the pants are not so frumpy. Past the knees? i say pick one or the other to wear at DIFFERENT times.

EXACTLEY!!!  They just don't pay enough attention to their bodies when they shop.  You have to look at your shape, hieght, SKIN COLOR and AGE.  Age is a big thing too.  You ever go to the festivals and see 45 year old latinas wearing the most ridiculous crap?  It's soooooooo embarassing!!!

Go to Salsa on St. Clair and you'll see what I meanhmm

Chile--i pay attention to trends, yes. But to follow them is another thing. For example, all those ballerina flats, sure they're hot and EVERYONE has them, but i don't own a single pair.
Or all those platforms. I don't like their chunkyness.
And those leggins, ugh! don't get me started on how much i dislike them.

I would lie if I said I didn't pay attention to trends! Fashion changes from season to season and yes I try to keep up.  I NEVER purchase something trendy if it doesn't look good though - NEVER!!  DOn't all kill me for this but I think many women in the latin community go WAY overboard when it comes to trends...so much so that it looks TACKY!!!  YOu need to keep your body shape, age and skin color in mind when buying clothes not just what is trendy!

Guada...you must admit you pay some attention to trends..right?

I don't consider myself a trend nuts but if I like a trend/style then I will adopt it to how I would like to wear it. I personally luv tights, they are sooo confy & yet they can go both ways: comfy & u can dress it up (if u know how to). I also luv the 70's/80's style, so i guess it's all good. Now as to baby doll dresses, I try to stay away cus I already look very young & that would just make it worst, but if I saw one that I can do my way, I would get it.

I think tights is something u'll luv or hate, no diffrence then skinny jeans (which I also luv).

See wat I HATE with passion, I only owe 1 pair is plat form shoes or those plat forms that look woody. bleh.gif not my style, but some girl wear them nice, just that it's not for my look.

Are you a Trend whore?

I can say for myself, i'm not. But there are styles out there that are absolutely ridiculous.

Such as:

Tights
Tights with shorts
Tights with skirts
Tights with dresses.
Spandex just plain sucks. Unless you're stuck in the 80's in a retro gym and it's halloween.

I'm not sure how i feel about the whole Baby doll top look. shrug.gif
