Wii deal?

I figured that one can BUY Wii points in order to download the old/traditional games. I think I recall the price per game about 500 points or so. You can buy a 2000 Wii points card at Costco for $24.99:

http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=10297312&search=NintendoWii2007&Sp=S&Mo=12&cm_re=1_en-_-Top_Left_Nav-_-Top_search=en-CA&Nr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&Ns=P_Price|1||P_SignDesc1&N=0&whse=BCCA&Dx=mode+matchallpartial&Ntk=Text_Search&Dr=P_CatalogName:BCCA&Ne=4000000&D=NintendoWii2007&Ntt=NintendoWii2007&cm_mmc=CNEmail_EN_PC146-_-Banner-_-3-_-NintendoWii2007_CNEmail_EN_PC146&No=10&Ntx=mode+matchallpartial&Nty=1&topnav=&s=1

I also like this package that they have for $ 299

Accessories included with the Nintendo Wii Messenger Bag Bundle:

  • Nintendo Wii hardware includes:
Remote
Nunchuk
Wii Sports
  • Messenger bag

ask LG he just got it to work.

I managed to CONNECT and VIEW the "store" online - costs points to actually download the games (mario, and a few traditional old games, I recall) - but I do NOT KNOW how to buy/make points quite yet.
I think you can register an account online on the nintendo/wii site - but I have not looked closely enough yet... been very busy trying to master my boxing, golfing, tennis, bowling and baseball skills. biggrin

ahhhhhh... sure they wanna trick you into buying original Wii games. I think I'll forget about building points and go to the Pacific Mall on the weekend ashamed.gif

c'mon LG there is a lot of old gr8 games u can download to play, like STF, mega man etc...

confused.gif WAIT... but don't I need to purchase some kind of chip/memory card FIRST?  Or can it be downloaded to the console itself? weirdface.gif  IF SO, how / where to download it?  (All I found last nite were the games that you need points to download).

the wii has built in memory not sure how big, yes u can download them right into ur Wii and play away.
Look around the Wii store to get them.

$270!!!? That's even cheaper than advertised on current flyer by Best Buy... mind you the one on Best Buy comes with:
-Intuitive controller
-Wii Sports
-Nunchuck controller
-Wii Remote

So, I did my walk and both, Best Buy and EB Games are offering the same package including:

-Intuitive controller

-Wii Sports

-Nunchuck controller

-Wii Remote

it's $279.99 at EB Games and $ 289.99 at Best Buy. I got mine at EB Games today! w00t.gif

do they have anymore all this talk about the wii
(and other reason as u already know cry.gif) have made me want to get one.

~X

YES - EB Games has some units left $279.99 + tax =$319.99

Best Buy (Bay/Dundas location) also has some units left.

X: what do I need to hook up the Wii to the net?

I hear they are but my dad compared to other places in the area and he said that it was actually $10.00 less. Either way sometimes you pay for convience...it's close and in stock. I doubt they can go that much over suggested retail so $10.00 or $20.00 isn't a big deal.

that could be an extra 6 pack or 12 pack... on a hot sommer day, it makes a difference... giggle.gif

But yeah, I'd thow in an extra few dollars not to have to keep looking.
