um... there are TONS of rich young people that manage to maintain their celebrity with TALENT and GRACE and not manage to get on people's nerves. The media is to blame for the over saturation of their lives. OH LOOK she PEED! bump bump bump! front page! BAH! i don't necessarily think that's her fault but at the same time, she puts herself into situations as if to ENSURE it lands on front page. I'm just completely annoyed by her and all these "starlets" as they call them, Lindsay Lohan, Britney Spears, Nicole Ritchie... I actually used to like Lindsay and Britney, until they became these drugged air heads and completely ruined any sort of credibility and talent they had.
I realize that these ppl are only human but at the same time, if you've chosen a life in the public eye and that ppl are watching everything you do, there is a level of responsibility you take on with that... my daughter used to love listening to Britney Spears but the moment she became this oversexed person, that ended and same with Lindsay Lohan, she was great in Mean Girls...
I can't even list 1 thing that Paris Hilton or Nicole Ritche have done that EVER made me like them. They are these no talent girls that flew onto the Hollywood scene for being in homemade sex movies. Yip.. that's something to aspire to... hey little girls of the world... u wanna be famous? right ok.. make a sex tape or do lots of drugs and u'll be a star!
Come on now.. being rich isn't a golden ticket to be stupid and ditzy... i could care less that she's rich, so just so there are no misunderstandings.. no.. i dont hate her cause she's rich... i hate her cause she's a stupid skank that has made a name for herself on basically nothing.

I don't know about the drugs/drinking comment. I think if paparazzi was following me around when I was that age they would have a lot more to write about. What are they doing really? They are doing what most people in early to mid 20's are doing....getting drunk and partying. I did it...sometimes I still do it. It's just that they are in the limelight!
I am no Paris fan. I do know that she was famous long before her sex tape. It's the last name more than anything else. She is famous because of her family. She is famous because perhaps she is not like the other rich girls with famous last names who behave ....she parties like a mad woman.

I think the reason why people hate her is because she's never really had to work for anything. She's got an amazing house, killer cars and she's never really had to deal with rejection. She's never had to go to acting school, go to casting call after casting call and experience that feeling of not getting a call back. She's never had to create demo after demo and get denied by record companies. She never had to struggle making it "to the top" like every other celebrity has.
I don't think I HATE the girl because it's a pretty strong word. She annoys me, is more like it. I think we're all just annoyed at the fact that she's SO famous for doing absolutely nothing. What's also annoying is how she says, "I work a lot! I work so hard for my money. I had to fly to Paris last week to do a runway show, then I had to fly to Miami to open a club, and now I'm back in LA doing this interview." *rollingmyeyes*
She clearly didn't learn from "The Simple Life" what hard work is!!!
@Chilenita: I agree. She reminds me of a mutant bird or just an ugly version of Tweety Bird!!! Nicole has this quiet look to her which I guess is alright. She looks MUCH better as a brunette!

She represents the spoiled rich girl who can do whatever she wants....she wants to be a pop star - she makes an album, She wants to be a tv star - she gets a show...and so on and so on. That is the way the world works the more money you have the easier it is to make.
Personally I find her ugly...her sister is sort of hot but she is so not hot - lol. I don't really like her style much either...too fru fru fluffy and pink. As far as talent goes she has none!! On the simple life Nicole is clearly the funny one. I think people are just interested in her because its a fantasy of so many women to party and have all that cash.
