Regardless of how much we damage the earth, I think the human race will survive. But that's all it will be - survival. We won't have the luxuries or freedoms or standard of living that we enjoy now but we'll carry on.
I personally think that one of the main problems with civilization has to be overpopulation. I believt one of the critical aspects of ensuring the healthy future of humanity is population control.
Think about it, the more people there is born, the more natural resources we need, therefore in oder to get those natural resources, the more we pollute, and the more we pollute, the more we are killing ourselves...ironic eh?
Overpopulation can lead tu hunger, plagues, wars, and bad TV programming...it MUST be stopped!
Yes, population control is the obvious solution, but you can't just start spreading mass plague (which we're pretty close to getting anyway) or telling people when they can or can't have babies. It's a hard issue. But, that said maybe over population will take care of itself, i mean, in mexico they just legalized abortions. So somewhere someone has the right idea. As unethical as it may seem, ending unwanted pregnancies, could be a step forward...

With so much violence and anger going on, they're slowly destroying eachother. And i think that who ever discovers a harmless way to get rid of all the garbage in the world, or at least trap all the gasses that are being produced by it (which in turn is the reason why the atmosphere is disintegrating), they will have discovered a great solution to an immense problem.
I have to disagree with u......the human race has survived all this time just by living from nature, the fact that now we get everything done for us doesn't mean we couldn't suvive with out it. The main thing that the human race has to concentrate on in order to survive is the planet Earth, only that way the human race will keep on going, everything else would be a step backwards but the human race would keep on going.
