I think I saw something like this on TLC. 

Not sure. 

I remember it was two young girls that pretty much had to lather on a lot of cream all over their body.

I don't remember their skin looking like fish scales though.  Their skin was just super super dry and flaky.

Maybe it's just something else. 

I have a headache.

You can always google it but... the visual is only part of the horror. You have to read about it too.

So it's a genetic skin disease called ichthyosis (commonly referred to as "fish skin"). It's basically EXTREMELY dry skin. Normal skin cells renew themselves every 14 days (on average) but for people with this syndrome, the skin renews itself much faster than the old skin can shed so there is a build up and scaling. Some people have moderate forms of it but there are extreme cases. Dry skin obviously has little elasticity so sometimes the pull of the skin is so tight around the face that the eyelids and lips turn outward, cause deep cracks or fissures at the joints. That is too much for me to handle.

Buuuuut, if you want to look at the pic of a baby born with an extreme case of icthyosis, you can google images of "Harlequin baby". Oh yeah, and there is no cure and these babies don't survive. Pobrecitos.

Anyways, there is no cure for it like u say but i saw a report a few months back where there was this girl that had this skin disease on her feet and in some other parts of her body, the doctors helped her by taking out the fish skin and letting it grow normal again.......it would only help her for sometime but they also told the mother what is it that she had to do so it wont get so bad.
