Fine! I read the bolded parts, since nobody (MiMi... ) bothered to summarize. And yes, I totally agree. In fact, el problema de los hispanos is that we concentrate more on our differences than in what we have in common. Except for foro. On foro we're all a big happy family. A dysfunctional family, but a family nonetheless.
I have seen him in some shows,. LB didn't he have a show before,. or has??? anyway,. I do agree in what he says,. como hispanos venimos de muchos lugares,. pero se nos hace dificil sobrepasar eso y aferrarnos a nuestro orgullo de ser HISPANOS/LATINOS,.. para reconocer como nos ve el resto de el mundo ,.... SI es un problema,. lo sabemos,. pero cual es o podria ser la solucion?????

Por fin acabo mi semana mas divertida y ocupada! Premios Lo Nuestro terminó y una vez mas me dejó entre ver lo que yo considero ser el “problema” con los hispanos. Cuando hablo del “problema”, lo digo como cuando lo dice un novio a su novia en esa fatídica conversación que siempre empieza con: “Tenemos que hablar, tenemos un problema”. Generalmente la novia ya sabe cual es el problema, pero ha sido mas fácil o menos incomodo no hablar de él. “Tenemos que hablar” simplemente quiere decir que alguien ya no quiere seguirse haciéndose de la vista gorda.
Gracias a mi trabajo, tengo la fortuna de poder llamar amigos a artistas de diferentes géneros musicales, países, estratos sociales y culturas. Puedo hablar con un ranchero igual que con un reguetonero, un salsero o un rockero. En cuestión de música parece que todos estamos orgullosos de compartir nuestra herencia: “¡Canta mariachi conmigo!” “¡Mejor bailemos cumbia!”. Con el reventón pasa lo mismo: “¡Tomate un tequila!” “¡No, mejor tomate un aguardiente!” Pero cuando la fiesta termina, agárrense los pelos porque el “problema”, ese “problema” que ya tiene hartos a muchos y que pocos quieren aceptar, mucho menos debatir, es que a la hora de la hora, la unidad entre los hispanos es tan frágil como un sueño, casi un invento que sabemos necesario pero imposible de lograr. El “problema” con nosotros, los latinos, los hispanos, es simplemente que no somos todos del mismo lugar.
Como minoría tenemos un gran reto, el de unir fuerzas para lograr tener un peso en las decisiones políticas del país. Sin embargo, esa unión se basa en un idioma y cada grupo dentro de los muchos que conformamos este grupo hispano parlante quiere jalar para su lado. Muchos piensan en términos del país al que pertenecen y aunque la causa es de todos, cuando las cosas se ponen difíciles, cada uno quiere levantar su propia bandera. Es justo como los premios musicales, son nuestros, pero cada categoría corresponde a diferentes regiones y la verdad es que a los de un lado poco les interesa saber lo que esta pasando en el otro. Las únicas canciones que rompen ese molde, son las que hablan de temas que todos, sin importar de donde seamos, podamos sentir.
El “problema” de los hispanos es que no somos todos del mismo lugar, pero el problema, el verdadero problema, así sin comillas, es que no nos damos cuenta de que en realidad ya todos somos de aquí.
