Bastard! I missed this. Actually, yes, although I don't know if it was because of her. I've been getting white hair since I was 9. :cyring: But no, I was talking about my black woman hair, actually.

Awwww... I love abuelita stories. All your stories make me remember my grandma! I miss her soooo much. She passed away almost 3 years ago and to this day it still hurts.
When it comes to sweet, cute stories, I'd be here all day... telling you what a wicked person she was. Shoot, I think everyone in Scarborough came out to her funeral. She was soo loved and respected.
thanks Buffy, you just warmed my heart with the thought of her!

Well my maternal abuelita passed away when I was 16 but the fond memories that I have are of us going to the ROM and the planetarium every Saturday and then walking over to McDonalds.
She made killer rice pudding and she absolutely adored cheese cake and carrot cake!! I miss my "Lita"
I met my paternal abuelita about 2 years ago when I went to Colombia. She was such a sweet heart and so freakin' tiny but I fell in love with her because all day she cared more about everyone else' well-being before hers. I begged her not to but every morning when I'd wake up, she'd have a coffee, hot chocolate, and a croissant waiting for me at the table.

Muh grandma is awesome... she's 74, does yoga, swimming, uses the internet, talks on the cell phone, uses VoIP, and right now she's on vacation in Chile...
and I'm forced to find my own food until she comes back...
You live with your grandma? No wonder you're so spoiled! She sounds cool, though.

Anyhoo, my grandmother is the best player when it comes to Naipe. She always plays for money and let me tell you she always wins and she gets pissed at us if we cheat!! Ya man, she takes Naipe seriously!! I always end up losing all my money!! But she always ends up buying us golocinas!!
I can't wait to see her in August!!!

Another time i had my parrot on my finger, and i decided it would be fun to put it close to my brother's face , the parrot bit a chunck off his nose. When my grandma found out, she came to slap me on the hand, not realizing that i had an exacto knife and as she hit my hand, so the knife also made two gashes on my fingers, it bled prufusely. What did she do right after? she poured alcohol over them. oh yeah. That was tough love. Oh, and after that i couldn't stop smelling my fingers, the mixture of blood and alcohol is the worst scent ever!

I never met either one of mine, so I don't have any abuelita stories. Do you guys have any cute/sweet/touching/scary abuelita stories? Those are always pretty good.
