I guess the cheapest alternative is to just go to fabric land and buy materials to make your own kids clothes. You can buy a couple of yards and make a dozen shirts and a couple of pants. I will open up a thread in a few years when I have kids to introduce the JC line of childrens clothes

please, why not just use plastic bags or old newspapers? if saving money is the issue, that would be the way to go.

I think I dress my girls pretty nice. Majority of their clothes are brand name, but mostly because this is what they get as gifts, or in the case of the younger one, hand-me downs from her cousins (in good condition though). The older one tries to get me to get her brand name stuff, y cuando le puedo dar el gusto se lo doy. She's into La Senza girl (we both have discount cards for that place. LOL). She likes Siblings a lot as well. But at times she may see nice little things at Walmart or Zellers that she likes, so I'll usually buy it.

You can't be that cheap

A box of diapers is like $30 to $35 for like 60 or maybe a bit more. You can atleast buy 1 box that will last you for about 2 years if you use them for special occasions

Jaime, just 'cause your Depends cost you that much doesn't mean BABY diapers cost that much

DAMN IT!!!!!!
Foro is broken!
I wanted to throw rocks at you, but Foro won't allow it. So I will stick to the played out

Hell no! Brands are over-rated....My kid's getting cheap ass clothes!
Besides... how am I suppose to buy my Armani suit if I spend all that money on him?!

As for the diaper discussion......... some things are just worth paying for

If i can afford to buy my son nice clothing, then i will. Thank God until now i have been able to give him everything he needs. As far as name brand clothing go, i always find deals & hook-ups!! There's nothing wrong in wanting to have your child look nice!

Do parents really need to spend sometimes double on kids clothing just cause it's from the Gap, Tommy Hilfiger or some other name brand stores? I mean to me it seems like a waste because they will just grow out of their clothes, but then again I am not a parent yet and don't know if my mind will change.
What do you guys think about this? Do you or would you spend extra money to get your kids name brand clothes?

Discuss

Well as a father they don't need it but I buy it for him anyways, I rather spend it on him then on something else

Sha! I can totally picture Princessa washing cloth diapers.

In your dreams, buddy! You're buying gold-trimmed pampers. Yup.

As for the topic, I'm not a brand person, neither is the troop.

For now, anyway.

Well all I can tell you is you have to give your kids lo que uno les puede dar, there is no need to give them more or less lo que uno pueda afford as a parent, the stores that you mention like the Gap, Tommy and other stores sometimes they have good sales but sometimes their clothes is too expensives and as how kids grow you'll realize that sometimes is not good for kids to have those kind of clothes to go to school, destrozan todo specially the boys, but I do like to dress up my son for b-days or special occassions

It is if you carry a water bottle and refill it at work or someone elses home, and while you are at it take some soap too.
You gotta think outside the box Guada
